Martin Amis is the author of the novels The Rachel Papers, London Fields, Time’s Arrow, Money, The Information, Night Train, Yellow Dog, House of Meetings, The Pregnant Widow, Lionel Asbo, and, most recently, The Zone of Interest, which is forthcoming in the fall of 2014. Mr. Amis is also the author of the memoir Experience. The New Yorker has said: “Amis, like his heroes Nabokov and Bellow, writes exuberant, ecstatic prose. His ear is precisely tuned, and his sentences—in narration and dialogue—are lethal.” Newsweek has said: “Amis’s mercurial style can rise to Joycean brilliance.” The Kansas City Star has said: “Compulsively readable—wily, dead-on satirist and consumate artist Martin Amis is grandly acerbic, funny and unnerving…. He leads us on, shakes us up, knocks us down, brushes us off, then does it all over again…[he] nimbly delivers stinging surprises, startling turnarounds, bludgeoning moments of horror and eked-out triumphs [and] takes on what are, in fact, universal concerns.” The Washington Post Book World has described the work of Mr. Amis as “savagely hilarious. It risks, it boils with energy…it even manages to shock.” The New York Times Book Review has said: “Amis is a writer of remarkable wit…. Rich in poignancy and savage indignation…. Remarkable.” The Times (London) has described Mr. Amis as “possibly the most fully engaged writer of our age.” The New Statesman has said: “More than any of his contemporaries, Amis writes things that you want to remember and repeat: he is original.” The Independent on Sunday has described Mr. Amis as “the finest English fiction writer of his generation.”

In addition to reading from his work, Martin Amis will be interviewed by Leonard Lopate.
